Statue Petition

Petition for a Pete Sampras Statue

To All Pete Sampras Fans,

Pete Sampras, winner of 14 Grand Slams is a tennis legend who needs to be remembered not only by his tennis fans worldwide, but by all who attend the U.S. Open and all who see the Grand Slam on television. For this reason, we believe that a statue of Pete at the U.S. Open would be a wonderful way of giving recognition to his great tennis.

Please sign our petition to send to the USTA asking them to erect a statue of Pete at the U.S. Open in New York in recognition of his many years of great tennis.

Pete's the greatest, class act tennis player and human being.

The greatest player of all time, truly a tennis genius. He was always undercredited with his achievements throughout his career particularly at the end. Other countries have honored their greats (Rod Laver arena for example). The greatest American of all time should be honored where he still is the youngest ever champion and one of the oldest champions. Modest, and professional, it would be a real inspiration to upcoming youth looking for a real role model.

When I think of U.S. Men's Tennis, two names come to mind. Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi. Why not erect a statue for each ?

Pete Sampras deserves to have a statue at US open as well as his favourite Grand Slam Wimbledon. He is the greatest player the world have ever seen, even better than the current world no. 1, Roger Federer. Sampras, The True Champion.

If they are relcutant to give a statue to just one athlete how about a joint one with him and Andre god knows they met at the Open many times each more memorable than the last. Tehre have to be many pictures of the two of them after a match that coudl be used. I think it's a great idea and would love to see one for Pete at Wimby that's where he belongs right next to Rod.

What a gre4at idea to dedicate a statue to pete, like to a greek hero. And yes, he was a hero, in many historical matches against BEcker, Courier, agassi, Stich, Martin, Edberg he showed one time after another that he was and will ever be the best player of all times, despite the great play of Federer in these days.
So please pay tribute to that great sportsman and dedicate him a statue in New York. The same should do also the Tennis Club in Wimbledon!!

pete perfect 4 ever!!!!!!!!!!!
