Petition for a Pete Sampras Statue

To All Pete Sampras Fans,

Pete Sampras, winner of 14 Grand Slams is a tennis legend who needs to be remembered not only by his tennis fans worldwide, but by all who attend the U.S. Open and all who see the Grand Slam on television. For this reason, we believe that a statue of Pete at the U.S. Open would be a wonderful way of giving recognition to his great tennis.

Please sign our petition to send to the USTA asking them to erect a statue of Pete at the U.S. Open in New York in recognition of his many years of great tennis.

Dear USTA,

please erect the statue of Pete at the US Open. It will be an honour for US Open. He is most legendary legend and not many can argue this.

Thanks,

Hamazasp

Pete is the best player of all time.
Mano a mano he would reign supreme over any player of any generation. He was the greatest in a generation where competition was the keenest - Agassi, Courier, Chang, Krajicek, Invanesich, Kafelnikov, et al. Plus his career overlapped with Rafter, Edberg, and Rafter, all great champions

A great player with class, a trait missing in many superstars.

Yeah I agree. Pete is such a great champion and his record at US Open is not that easily to achieve. I would say he is an American Tennis Icon and has to be respected by erecting a statue at the Flushing Meadows.

Sampras is the greatest of all times. His Grand Slam victories are epic wins over equally talented opponents and with grace & dignity. His final grand slam win will forever be remmebered as one of the most fascinating Grand slam conquests ever. He is a true legend & ambassador of the game and a great champion, thus rightfully deserving of a statue in the lawns of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows.
