Petition for a Pete Sampras Statue

To All Pete Sampras Fans,

Pete Sampras, winner of 14 Grand Slams is a tennis legend who needs to be remembered not only by his tennis fans worldwide, but by all who attend the U.S. Open and all who see the Grand Slam on television. For this reason, we believe that a statue of Pete at the U.S. Open would be a wonderful way of giving recognition to his great tennis.

Please sign our petition to send to the USTA asking them to erect a statue of Pete at the U.S. Open in New York in recognition of his many years of great tennis.

Pete is the best. Best American player and in my opinion the best player anywhere. Won`t see a champion like him any time soon and the way the game is changing then probably never. I want people to remember Pistol Pete everytime they go to Flushing Meadows.

The sport of tennis is dimmer without Pete Sampras. I still miss him at every grand slam. He should be the pride of the U.S. Open!

The greatest American tennis player deserves a statue at the greatest American tennis tournament. Having won the most Grand Slams in history, I'm certain it's only a matter of time. I mean if Rocky can get one, why not Pistol Pete?!

Pete has always been a excellent example of sportsman and has done our county proud and as a 5 time US Open Champion, this would be very appropriate.

Sampras is definitely the greatest player of all times . And where better to have his statue than his Homeland and that too , in Flushing Meadows.

I think we should press for one in AELTC(all england lawn tennis club) too . wat say guys ??

I am one of the guys who think Sampras is one of the biggest pioneers of the not only to U.S.A but also to the world tennis scene.

So it would be a great idea to erect a statue for him in the US open
