To All Pete Sampras Fans,

Pete Sampras, winner of 14 Grand Slams is a tennis legend who needs to be remembered not only by his tennis fans worldwide, but by all who attend the U.S. Open and all who see the Grand Slam on television. For this reason, we believe that a statue of Pete at the U.S. Open would be a wonderful way of giving recognition to his great tennis.

Please sign our petition to send to the USTA asking them to erect a statue of Pete at the U.S. Open in New York in recognition of his many years of great tennis.

I completely agree with this great idea! The US Open needs it's own version of the MJ statue outside the United Center in Chicago!

Pete Sampras is the true and only GOAT.he was and is the real deal.not a pretender to that title (you know who I'm talking about)! A statue should be errected at the US Open where he was the youngest winner when he was 19 and where he fittingly ended his career with his 14th Grand Slam title too! Hope my name being added goes a small way to achieving this for such an amazing player, champion and humble human being!

If ever there was a more deserving person to be honoured this way it is Pete Sampras! Not just for his amazing talents and achievements as a tennis player but for his generosity, kindness and humility as a human being! He deserves a statue at the US Open but dare I saw it I feel where he won 7 titles out of 8 at Wimbledon there should also be a statue - perhaps that would mend his wounds with regards to being put on that aweful No.2 Court!

The GOAT deserves a statue. Not only is he the youngest champion, but also the oldest champion (pretty sure). He and Andre kept US Tennis alive during the 90's. He deserves a statue.

I say not only at Flushing, but also at Wimbledon.

Pistol Pete is the best player of all time, he started his career as the youngest US Open champion and finished it as US Open champion, this guy deserves a statue.

A statue to Pete at the US Open is a great idea, the youngest ever winner there! A truly inspirational player, a champion in every sense of the word, the greatest ever.

Pistol Pete Sampras.what a fitting way to honour and show gratitude to such a fantastic player! He was what tennis should be all about.the game.a class act on and off the court! Showed great respect for the history of the game and his opponents. Also, managed to keep his head when most others who achieved success would allow themselves to get caught up in the media frenzy! Humility is such a great quality which Pete possesses in abundence!!

Pete Sampras was a class act on and off the court as well as one of the all-time greats in tennis. He gave his fans and his sport a lot of wonderful, memorable moments through the years. A statue would be a fitting tribute and thank-you.

Pete Sampras so deserves this statue.for his amazing, graceful and seemingly effortless way he played tennis and for managing to keep his feet on the ground and be humble in what he has achieved. A living legend and in my opinion the greatest tennis player of all time!

A player who was the whole package, great serve, great volleys & such a joy to watch his gracefullness around the court - pure genius with the racket. His humility and all round down to earth demeanor off court is something that I admired and respected! He so deserves this statue! Good luck!
