New Home for Pete Sampras & Family

Tennis ace Pete Sampras and his gorgeous wife, actress Bridgette Wilson, just dropped $5,996,000 for the Bel Air estate recently owned by actor Albert Brooks.

Located on over 2 acres, featuring mature trees and lots of privacy, the property is accessed via a long, gated private drive. The 5,100 square foot home is entered through the dramatic living room, which features 20 foot high wood-paneled ceilings, skylights and massive glass walls that blur the distinction between the spacious home and the lush property surrounding it. The family-friendly home has 3 bedrooms (and a maid’s), and the master suite has its own sitting room and his-and-her baths and closets.

Outside there is a tennis court (naturally) and a large grassy area that could play host to any number of events, either children’s birthday parties or warm summer evening cocktail parties. The highlight of the spacious yard is the pristine infinity pool that looks out over a perfect Los Angeles view.

Pete and Bridgette’s new home has a long and storied show business history, having been owned by Merv Griffin before being purchased by Brooks for $3,650,000 in 1992. Albert Brooks sold the home in 2012 for $6,275,000, after listing it for nearly $7 million. The new owners didn’t hold on to it for very long, and sold it to the Sampras family at a loss.

Pete, Bridgette and their two children most recently resided in a $5.6M mansion at the end of a cul-de-sac in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles. They also owned a modern Thousand Oaks, CA CA +1.02% estate that they were asking $19.95 million for. That estate sold in November 2013 for an undisclosed price.

In their most recent real estate deal, Mauricio Umansky of The Agency represented the listing and Jordan Cohen of RE/MAX Olson & Associates was Sampras and Wilson’s agent.
