To All Pete Sampras Fans,

Pete Sampras, winner of 14 Grand Slams is a tennis legend who needs to be remembered not only by his tennis fans worldwide, but by all who attend the U.S. Open and all who see the Grand Slam on television. For this reason, we believe that a statue of Pete at the U.S. Open would be a wonderful way of giving recognition to his great tennis.

Please sign our petition to send to the USTA asking them to erect a statue of Pete at the U.S. Open in New York in recognition of his many years of great tennis.

For his unmatched on-court achievements and heroics, his outstanding sportsmanship, his reverence for the greats of yesteryear and respect for today's champions, and his terrific record -- five singles titles -- at the U.S. Open,
the USTA and the U.S. Open should honor Pete Sampras with a statue.

It would be great to see the great Pete Sampras immortalised as a statue, as it would remind people who visit what a legend he is. He's an American icon and sorely missed on the courts today, never to be forgotten.

I think Pete embodied class, hardwork and excellence throughout his highly decorated career. A statue of him would be a nice tribute to his achievements on the court.

Pete has shown the world that you can be a gentleman in this day and age and still be one of the greatest players in tennis history. His achievements and skills speak for themselves, and a statue at the US Open to celebrate this great player would be the icing on the cake. =)

Pete Sampras was and still is a perfect role model for new generations of players. He personifies grace, class, skill & perfect sportsmanship and was a true champion in every way. He is respected throughout the world of tennis and a statue would be the perfect way to honour a living tennis legend who is the man that the new crop of players all are aspiring to emulate!

Pete Sampras deserves to be recognized and honored as the champion of the sport of tennis. He has earned this. Pete is a role model, especially for children. His drive and determination are unequaled. Pete conducted himself with supreme class at every turn of his career. Please consider honoring this magnificent champion with a statue so we can all celebrate his outstanding career, and his great love of this game. Thank you.

yes  , this is a great idea :light: , Wimby's next, but the US Open is where the Champ was born, his first crown. There needs to be a way for future fans (30-40 years) to remember Sampras as the champion he will always be to us.
